Sherry FitzGerald was formed as a result of an amalgamation of two companies in 1982 - FitzGerald & Partners (founded 1972) and Sherry & Sons (founded 1945). FitzGerald & Partners specialised in residential and commercial sales, whereas Sherry & Sons specialised in valuation and appraisal. Year on year, the Company has grown and in April 1999 Sherry FitzGerald floated on the Dublin Stock Exchange.
